Kasugano Asageiko Sept 7, 2008

What does this have to do with Asageiko (morning practice) you ask? Nothing really, except that today after asageiko recently retired Tochinohana, now Hatachiyama Oyakata signed my Legacy and added his name to the many fantastic people who have signed already!

What a treat for me!!! He's the first one to sign my car "nearly" naked.. Ama and Aminishiki wore towels! :-)

I almost couldn't drive home.. too excited to sit in my seat!!

Today is Katayama's 29th birthday! Congratulations!!!

Katayama is so limber! I can't believe it! I wasn't this limber as a child!

Banzuke 番付

Today was banzuke day! I was so nervous and excited all day!!! The first good news I got was a text message from my friend Bobby telling me that Baruto was ranked at East Komusubi! That is just fantastic news!! Congratulations Baruto!!! And thanks Bobby for your early morning text!

The best news for me besides Baruto...

Kihaku has moved up in a huge leap to East Sandame 35!!!

Kitazakura has moved up a bit to West Juryo 1!!!

Of course other guys have good news too but these are my best three today!

Followed by Toyonoshima's promotion to West Sekiwake opposite Ama!

I will have to post more news later due to the early hour...

Congratulations to all the promotions! And hope everyone has good luck in the upcoming basho!!! Those of you who slipped down will just have to work harder to jump back up!

I can't sleep!!!! I will post the information tonight (seeing as how it is already today at 2:30am!) when I get home from work!
